Berberis is fast becoming a very popular landscape plant. We have chosen to offer only the Japanese cultivars for the color and durability. Best in full sun and will withstand dry conditions. We offer cultivars of red, yellow and variegated foliage with either globose or upright growth habits.




Berberis thunbergii 'Bagatelle'
'Bagatelle' is a very compact shrub possibly reaching an ultimate height of 18". This plant forms a wonderful broad mound of dark brick-red leaves that turn a brighter red in autumn before falling. One gallon $10.00


Berberis thunbergii 'Concorde'
A dwarf ball with velvety, deep purple foliage. Superior to 'Crimson Pygmy'. Recently added to the federal rust free barberry list. This is a beauty! Zone 4, 18 inches, Full sun. One gallon. $10.00


Berberis thunbergii 'Helmond Pillar'
A multi-stemmed, upright columnar form with its foliage nearly the same size and color as 'Bagatelle'. This very upright, purple pillar really makes a statement in the right spot. Grows 3-6 a year, reaching 3-5. Sun to partial shade. One gallon $12. Two gallon $15.00


Berberis thunbergii 'Rosy Glow'
This barberry is one of our more vigorous cultivars and is certainly a showy garden plant with its variegated leaves of purple with light pink splotches. A great garden accent! Grows 3-6 a year, reaching 3-5. Sun to partial shade. One gallon $10.00 Two gallon $12.00
