Chamaecyparis grows best in moist, well-drained soil. Chamaecyparis pisifera and thyoidies do best in full sun. Chamaecyparis obtusa thrives in full sun but will tolerate shade. The cultivars we offer provide a very diverse combination of color, texture, and shape for the landscape. Chamaecyparis is native to North America, Japan and Taiwan.

Chamaecyparis thyoidies 'Heatherbun'
Unmatched color in a hardy garden conifer. Its juvenile foliage is a heathery plum color and very soft to the touch. Bark color is reddish-brown and winter color is intense plum.
